I refuse to feed the machine, and until further notice, the machine will not collect my content going forward.


No amount of gaslighting myself that "things are ok, just keep publishing work, don't worry about your work being siphoned into the LLMs" will convince me to keep putting out on the net. Being a creator of things is something special, and it always will be no matter what the world is like. It just happens to be the stuff I have spent the last 10 years on suddenly came to a halt and the resulting ego death is putting me in limbo.


It's not burnout, because I can still work on projects just like normal. I'm the best I've ever historically been and I enjoy the process of writing songs, drawing, etc. The market has completely floored my enthusiasm to want to continue the online business aspects of things.


My moral standing on utilizing machine learning tools when it comes to my brand (evilneon) is a blurred line that I want to make clear. I refuse to blend my brand with techniques that I disagree with. I have made several creations using these tools and I am just fundamentally unhappy with the resulting product being really-polished-slop that makes myself feel cheated out of the right to say "I made that."
